Join us for a discussion about racial equity in volunteerism.
Lisa Joyslin, Equity and Inclusion Manager at the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration (MAVA) will present on her research around equity in volunteerism, beginning with several strategies for creating a more inclusive volunteer program. Lisa will also discuss systemic racism in volunteer engagement and the power dynamics at play between corporate volunteers, nonprofits, and communities.
We’ll follow up Lisa’s presentation with a Q & A and small group discussions to reflect on what we’ve learned and how to carry forward racial equity in our work as corporate volunteerism leaders.
