Mitigating Risk, Maximizing Impact: CSR Strategies for Today’s Climate
The corporate social impact landscape is shifting rapidly under today’s political, economic, and social pressures. Companies are navigating increased scrutiny from stakeholders, new regulations, and heightened expectations for measurable impact. This session will explore some of the current challenges shaping CSR, including the implications of political polarization, evolving tax and regulatory policies, and economic uncertainty. ACCP will share data and insights for how companies are responding, and action steps companies can use to mitigate risk, build resilience, and align social impact initiatives more closely with business priorities to position their efforts as essential to long-term business success.
Key Takeaways:
- For nonprofits: Understand internal pressure points that corporate funders are facing in measuring impact, the data and metrics that are important to their key stakeholders to continue their work, and what the primary risk factors they are examining right now.
- For companies: ACCP will help provide some case study examples of how companies are thinking about these shifts, potential action steps or strategies to move the work forward, and the how they can assess or better align to the business.
This is a member only event. If your company is a CVC-TC member and you have not previously registered for a CVC-TC event, please email [email protected] and our office staff will set up your profile and register you.

Xcel Energy Celebrates 15th annual
Day of Service
|
Over 2,900 volunteers from Xcel Energy and the communities it serves took action to support nonprofit organizations during the company’s 15th annual Day of Service on September 11-13, 2025. The volunteers dedicated nearly 8,900 volunteer hours to support 112 projects that ranged from packing meals and constructing homes for families in need to cleaning up nature trails and planting trees. Volunteer efforts this year generated $309,000 in economic impact across communities in seven of the states the company serves: Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. Day of Service, a tradition since 2010, was created as a tribute to the victims, survivors and first responders of 9/11, as well as all those who work to keep communities and the country safe. The annual volunteer event provides an opportunity for Xcel Energy and members of the community to come together and contribute to projects that benefit local nonprofits.
